Ingenious plasmonics: routing the light in-plane and out of plane at will

摘要：Plasmonics has enabled unprecedented optical designs in micro/nano scales. In this talk, I would like to show our newly developed strategies by ingenious plasmonic structures in engineering in-plane surface plasmon polariton (SPP) propagations, wavelength demultiplexers, out of plane beaming, and polarization generators. I would show a plasmonic waveguide array being capable of simulating condensed matter physics (e.g., massless Dirac Fermion, topological interface state, etc).

报告人简介：李涛，南京大学现代工程与应用科学学院教授，博导。量子电子学与光学工程系执行主任。2005年南京大学博士毕业，2008年应聘至南京大学现代工程与应用科学学院任教，2013年晋升为教授。南京大学首批“登峰人才支持计划”入选者（2012年），国家自然科学优秀青年基金获得者（2013年），香港浸会大学“王宽诚教育基金”获得者（2013年）。研究兴趣围绕表面等离激元的新颖光学效应和光子集成。在Phys. Rev. Lett.，Nano Lett.，Light: Sci. Appl., Laser Photon. Rev., Appl. Phys. Lett.等刊物发表论文70余篇，引用1500余次。
