Title：Materials for the future of green technology in Japan

Abstract: 3.11 Fukushima nuclear accident has shortened the time schedule of Japan to shift its energy sources from the conventional ones to a new state under which the emission of global warming gas must be reduced significantly. There are essentially two types of research being conducted; 1) road map style approach and 2) game changing style. The latter style is mainly handled in universities under the project-guidance of JST. New types of Bio-mass, photo-synthesis, new types of processing of solar cells, new types of organic solar cells, etc. will be discussed.
